Estragon is one of the ‘fines herbes’ that I love so much. Estragol, the herb’s essential oil, makes the leaves highly aromatic even after drying. Our tarragon leaves are hand-picked on a farm in Mayenne (France) and artisanally dried by the growers themselves.

Story

Tarragon (Artemisa dracunculus) is a common annual in herb gardens with a harvest season that goes from May to October. Dried tarragon leaves retain their fragrance. Tarragon is native to central Asia and made its way into French cuisine between the 16th and 17th centuries. Tarragon is an integral part of classic French sauces such as tartar sauce, gribiche sauce, ravigote sauce, and bearnaise sauce.
